Students Perform at East Butler Music Contest
Fifth,
sixth, seventh and eighth graders from Prague Public Schools
participated in the East Butler Music Contest on March 29 in
Brainard, NE.
The contest is designed for elementary and middle school aged
students, who can choose to perform either vocal or instrumental
pieces of music in solos, duets, trios, or any number of
configurations. The judges rate the students on their performance,
giving them scores based on a scale of I-V, the former being the
best.

Matt Smaus and Alan Sousek, boys trio; Zana Rhynalds, Sarah Vanek

and Sammy Prohaska, girls trio; Mikala Havlovic, Kaytlin Johnson,
Abby Kubik and Cheyenne Paseka, girls quartet; Morgan Bruneau,

Brooke Vanek, tenor sax solo; and Alex Muessigmann, snare drum
solo.
