Just like your
child, I am the product of a small farming community, Brule,
Nebraska, and I could not have asked for a better place to grow
up! After high school graduation, I attended Doane College,
graduating in 2004 with a BA in Mass Communications. In 2006,
I returned to Doane for my teaching certificate. I hope to

KINDERGARTEN-JULIE
WARFORD
My name is
Julie (Gaughen) Warford. Some of you may already recognize me
because I was here at the end of last year substitute teaching in
the 1st & 2nd grade for Mrs. Brabec when
she went on maternity leave.
I know what
it’s like being part of a small school. I was born and raised
in the town of Cedar Bluffs and graduated from high school in
1999. After high school, I went to college at Nebraska
Wesleyan University in Lincoln where I majored in Elementary
Education, played on the softball team, and was a member of Alpha
Gamma Delta sorority. After graduating in 2003, I married my
high school sweetheart, Carl, and we moved to Omaha where I began
working as a preschool teacher and an assistant director of a
preschool and childcare center in Papillion. In 2006, our
first daughter was born. Her name is Kylie and she is now 2 ½
years old.
Currently, the
three of us live in Ashland.
During my time
here at Prague, I will be teaching kindergarten and assisting Mr.
Jahde in girls basketball. I am very excited to be back and
look forward to getting to know each and every one of
you!
