FETAL PIG DISSECTION

by David Williams

May 21, 2010

Modern technology has permitted the dissection of the fetal pig in a clean and safe environment.  Through an interactive computer program each part of the anatomy is covered visually with an audio presentation and a written narrative of the important features of the anatomy of the fetal pig.

Each student at a computer progresses at their own rate.  A study guide is completed over each section to aid in understanding.  The program is divided into several sections so that each can be repeated or presented over more than one instruction period.

After completion of the program, a final exam is taken to assess understanding of the anatomy of the fetal pig.

With the completion of the program, there is no fetal pig to dispose of or dissection equipment to clean up and put away.
