To All students and parents:
To my knowledge Prague has had no Laboratory confirmed cases of
students or staff infected with the H1N1 virus. As of Friday, we
have had some students whose medical professionals have indicated
it is likely the students have H1N1 due to the symptoms they are
exhibiting. Please review information available on H1N1 and act
accordingly should your child become ill. Also if you have children
or family members that are in any of the high risk categories you
need to contact your family health care provider as soon as they
start to show symptoms that are common to H1N1.
Our students have had contact with students from area schools that
have experienced high numbers of student absences. It is very
likely that our youth may have been exposed to whatever is causing
these absences. I ask that if your child is absent due to illness
that you provide Mary Ann with the symptoms so that we can report
to our Area Health center the number of students that have flu-like
symptoms. We will continue to be diligent in monitoring student
absences and in conducting prevention activities here at
school.
Thank-you.
Ray Collins, Superintendent
